Breaker Point, Dana Bay, Project Update, 14 March 2025
With a stunning view across the Indian Ocean, this is a breathtaking property. Completely selfsustaining, a beefy 16 kW inverter along with a series of solar panels, provides clean energy. In addition, the flat roofs that are not used to house panels are planted, blending the home into the environment as well as providing insulation against the elements.
The entire structure consists of fully reinforced concrete. The interior concrete walls are mostly left unpainted as is while the floors are a combintion of wood and concrete. This creates a beautiful blend of industrial design and homely warmth. Windows are double glazed for sound and climate insulation. All glass and aluminium provided by German company Fenster.
